Kristin holds a B.S. in Physical Education and Elementary Education from Western Michigan University. She taught middle school in SAISD for 6 years before joining the TLP staff. She taught Pre-K and 3-year-olds here at TLP before becoming the Director in 2006. She and her husband have 2 daughters.
TEACHES THE PRE-K ENRICHMENT BUTTERFLY CLASS
Val graduated from Angelo State University with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism. She then got her alternative certification in Early Childhood and taught Kindergarten for 25 years before retiring in 2019. She and her husband, Ron, have 2 young adults and 2 grandbabies. Val says, "My love for teaching continues as I pursue my journey with TLP."
TEACHES THE PRE-K GIRAFFE CLASS
Susan has a Master's degree in Education from Walden University and a Bachelor's degree in Education from Texas A&M University (WHOOP!). She taught kindergarten through second grade for 30 years before joining TLP. She and her husband have five grown children and nine grandchildren.
TEACHES THE PRE-K PANDA CLASS
Kristin graduated from Dr. Martin Luther College with a Bachelor's in Education. She enjoyed teaching first graders for one year before getting married and starting her family. She has been teaching piano lessons ever since. One thing she truly treasures about teaching at Triumphant is being able to tell the preschoolers how much God loves them and sharing His word with them.
TEACHES THE 3-YEAR-OLD OWL CLASS
Shelley began working at TLP in 2009 as a teacher aide. In 2013, she completed her CDA (Child Development Associate) to become a teacher. Her twins attended TLP in 2005. She and her husband, John, have 3 children.
TEACHES THE 3-YEAR-OLD FROG CLASS
Karla graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. She has been teaching preschoolers in Sunday School for over 18 years. This is her 6th year teaching in a preschool. She and her husband, Doug, have 3 children.
TEACHES THE 3-YEAR-OLD FISH CLASS
Kim is a native of this area and graduated from Samuel Clemens High School (Go Buffs!). She and her husband, Matt, have 3 children. Her youngest is a TLP graduate. Prior to joining the TLP staff, Kim was a stay-at-home mom for 10 years. In her free time, you can find her cheering for her kids at swim meets and baseball games.
