Preschool

Triumphant Lutheran Preschool is a State Licensed School serving the Schertz, Garden Ridge, Cibolo, Universal City, and northeast San Antonio area.  It is our desire to provide a safe and exciting educational environment for your child in which to learn and interact. We strive to prepare your child for kindergarten by working with the alphabet, numbers, colors and shapes. We also try to enhance their learning experience by teaching through specific themes each month. Your participation in your child’s education is encouraged and we invite you to join us for special family occasions like Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, our Thanksgiving Program and Feast and, of course, our Graduation Ceremony.

Staff

Kristin Miller: TLC Preschool Director  She holds a B.S. in Physical Education and Elementary Education from Western Michigan University. She began her teaching career in San Antonio before joining the staff at our preschool. She has been Preschool Director since 2006.

Karla Ledum: Teaches the 4-year-old classes. She holds a degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from the University of North Dakota and Minot State University. She has taught kindergarten in many states due to Air Force moves around the country. She and her husband have 5 girls and she has been with Triumphant Preschool since 2005.

Susan Soeth: Teaches the 4-year-old classes. She earned her CDA (Child Development Associate) while she and her husband were stationed in Hawaii with the Army. She then worked for a Phoenix-area Lutheran preschool for 2 ½ years before moving to the San Antonio area. She has been teaching preschool children since 1997. She and her husband have a son and a daughter.

Laurie Gordon: Teaches Triumphant Lutheran's 3 year old Little Fish class.   She began as our classroom aide in 2006 and then obtained her CDA (Child Development Associate) so she could have her own classroom.  She and her husband have 3 children.

Jackie Bankes: Teaches4-year-old class on Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays. She graduated from the University of Texas in San Antonio with a Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. She hold a teachers certificate in both early childhood education and elementary education. She has 7 years experience in kindergarten and pre-kindergarten.

Curriculum

Curriculum includes: Chapel Time, Centers, Story Time, Circle Time, Music Time, Outside Play, Riding Toys, Sandbox, Art Projects, Special Events, and more!

2010-2011 Class Schedule

Lunch Buddies: Offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00 – 1:45. In order to participate, children must be enrolled for the entire year. Your child will need to bring a sack lunch. We will spend the time after lunch doing additional learning through play, more outside time and having more fun being kids!!

Tuition and Fees 2010-2011 School Year

Non-refundable Registration Fee: $75 due at registration.

The supply fee is to help pay for glue, paper, markers, photo processing, etc. This fee will also help cover the cost of a daily snack for your child. Your child will be able to bring a special birthday snack and we will ask that you help provide additional snacks on special “party days.”

All students at TLP must be potty-trained. Children must be able to use the bathroom with little assistance. Accidents happen, but unfortunately we are not equipped to change diapers. Children should not come to preschool in diapers.
