Oktoberfest 2017 has now come and gone.  People came from all over to taste TLC’s famous BBQ brisket dinner, to enjoy bouncy houses and games for the kids, and to celebrate with live music by The Bohemian Dutchmen. Thanks so much to Marilyn Winters for leading this effort! Thank you to all the volunteers who had fun making this annual event so successful!

The popular Baked Goods Auction brought in $1400! Bidders certainly enjoyed the opportunity to bid on delicious homemade goodies from some of TLC’s best bakers.  The sale of meal tickets totaled $2900. All meal and auction proceeds will benefit Hurricane Harvey victims.

The drawings for the beautiful Butterfly Appliqué Quilt and the large, handmade Wooden Star were a big hit, too. The quilt winner is TLC member Sharon St.Clair and the winner of the star is Garden Ridge Mayor Larry Thompson. Congratulations to both of the winners! Proceeds from both drawings will benefit the Youth Ministries of TLC.
